It's been a long time since I last played video games. I believe Pac-Man, and Super Mario Brothers were then the rage. Then came along EA Sports with John Madden football, the graphics were awesome and so was the speed of the game. It became too complicated for guys like me to keep up with it but, I couldn't keep it away from my sons, their friends and their skill level and enthusiasm for the game. Unfornately, I could not keep up and was distanced from the group.
That is until this past Christmas when Santa brought my daughters the Wii game control box. Oh what fun our family has enjoyed since then. Once again, quality family fun time has been enjoyed by us all. My youngest 8 year old daughter loves the Tennis, Bowling and Wii Health test features. Personally, I've been quite impressed with her proficiency in those games as well as in my 11 year old daughter's love for Guitar Hero and for the Hanna Montanna game. Even my wife who has little time for games of any sort enjoys Dancing with the Stars game as well as keeping up her with her daily Health Test. My son and I are passionate about Wii Golf. In fact we've turned it into a hotly contested match play most days complete with 50 cent skins, 50 cent Birdies and two dollar Eagles.
A few weeks back when I was flipping the television channels I saw Ellen, she was on air Rocking away on her Wii - Guitar Hero and I do mean rockin, I was quite impressed how good she was at it. It was at that time that it became obvious that Nintendo has hit a Grand Slam in the video marketplace. Introducing games that are easy to use yet challenging enough for the entire family. Little wonder the demand for this machine has made it difficult to find. As for me, I'm now looking forward to Nintendo's next Golf game upgrade. Here's hoping the expand thier current game from 9 holes to 18. Until then, I need to recoup some of my losses to my son so I'll have to sharpen up on my chipping and putting...Gotta go.
Nesty,
